Join us for an exciting debate on AI Data Centers. This issue swept onto the political scene this year when people around the country learned that new data centers were proposed for their communities. The issue has become a political hot potato. Do we need the data centers? What do they cost? Do they harm people? Will they surveill us into submission? Let's answer those questions.

PRO: Wes Benedict. Wes is a longtime Libertarian activist and public policy advocate in Austin. He is a former Executive Director of the Libertarian National Committee and the Libertarian Party of Texas and currently serves as president of the Libertarian Booster PAC. Wes works for a nonprofit that advocates for housing and energy policy reforms at the Texas Legislature. His work includes electricity markets, transmission, power generation, and data centers, with an emphasis on property rights, competition, and free-market solutions.

CON: Sam Law. Sam has a PhD in cultural anthropology from UT Austin. He works with community organizations fighting data centers in Central Texas. He works at FracTracker, which has the most comprehensive map of new and proposed data centers in the country.
