LPTexas will join The League of Independent Voters of Texas for a Lobby Day on Friday, March 24. We’ll be lobbying for Texans for Electoral Competition, of which LPTexas is a member.
The Lobby Day will be a chance for LPTexas members to learn about the lobbying process, as well as a chance to meet with key Texas legislators in support of our electoral priorities to: a) end one-punch straight-ticket voting, and b) lower barriers to ballot access for minor party and independent candidates.
Come share your Libertarian perspective with lawmakers and their staff on the bills that will affect the lives of millions of Texans.
You’re invited to come on any time between 10am and 4pm in the Texas State Capitol, Capitol Extension (Underground Building), Legislative Conference Center, Room E2.002. Starting at noon, invited speakers will talk about electoral reform, water rights, eminent domain, and the other priorities of the LIV.
If you’ve ever wanted to know more about the legislative process, or want a chance to practice your skills talking to legislators, Lobby Day is a great opportunity to work on behalf of issues important to LPTexas.
