There is no local chapter for the LP in my county (Young County). Where should I start if I am interested in forming one?

Do any of the LP candidates in the lower level races even want to be elected? Very few provide any information to voter guides, I can’t find websites, or Facebook pages, or any information about the candidates. I want to support the Libertarian Party, but I won’t vote a straight party ticket. I want to know what my candidates stand for and believe in and what policies they hope to implement or take a stand on. Simply running as a Libertarian does not guarantee that the candidate actually believes in the Libertarian platform; we have nominated more than few ‘nuts’ in the past as Libertarians that didn’t actually share Libertarian views.

Please provide information about the candidates at the state and local levels. Perhaps ‘force’ the candidates to at the very least put up a webpage with their personal platforms.

I have served twenty years in the Marine Corps with the idea that anything I did was to protect our freedom from foreign countries. After retiring I have found that it is not protection from foreign countries but our own government.

I can abide by your principals….. I am pro-life, very much so, but I believe that by not having government pay for it and not making abortion illegal, you can begin a conversation with an individual.

I am currently a precinct chairman in my county for the Republican Party. After this election I would like to become an active member of the Libertarian Party.

The only suggestions I have are a Paypal donations interface and maybe a shorter Texas platform in English and Spanish. The one we have is a micromanaging laundry list that is taking me forever to translate into Portuguese. A lot of voters speak Spanish and Portuguese.

This is from Austin. I want to send a donation via PayPal but am not finding that option. I am already a member but cannot remember the date I should renew.

Would love to have a yard sign for my support. I have already early voted for our next President Gary Johnson! My first time voting and cannot afford to donate monetary value but can represent in my city of Balch Springs. Thankyou and have a great day!

    Dear Texas Libertarian Party,

Concerning the upcoming US presidential elections on 8th November 2016, at the Walter Eucken Institute we are working on a case study regarding the members of the Electoral College. However, we cannot find the names of the individual candidates for presidential electors that were nominated by your state’s Party. This should be public information and it is available for most of the other states.

Would you please provide us with the names of the Electoral College candidates that you have nominated, and if possible their contact information as well (such as postal address or email)? If necessary, we can give you more information about our research.

Thank you in advance for your cooperation.

    Best regards,

    Alexander Lutz

    Dear LP of Texas,

The following is a short video that I produced that might help you get out the vote for the Libertarian Party. Feel free to email a link to it to your party members, post it to your Facebook page, and/or tweet it on out.

    Sincerely yours,

    Jack Decker

Would you please quit taking out the $ 10.00 a month Bronze Level donation from my credit card? I can’t support Gary Johnson for President. He is the worst candidate on the ballot.

I would like to become more involved in the Libertarian Party. I am a small business owner and actually own two corporations that employee about 15 people in the State of Texas. I have always considered myself an independent, but vote Repubican the majority of the time. I read the Libertarian platform recently and realized I am actually a libertarian! I would like to get involved with the party. I actually graduated with a political science degree, so I am somewhat knowledgeable in politics, but certainly no expert. I live in Brown County and I do not see much in the way of a party presence here?

Hello, so my questions has to do with what i need to do in order to become a card carrying member of the Libertarian party of Texas. I just registered online for info from the party. But, does that mean that i am now a member, or what else do i need to do in order to become a member? Also what is the best way to become involved? I am a college student and a youth for Gary Johnson Weld president at Stephen F. Austin State university. I think that while the presidential election is of great importance, it is the elections at the local, state, and national legislative level that will truly be the tipping point for the libertarian party. Please let me know what i can do as an activist to advance the libertarian cause. Thanks!

Hi there, I was at the Gary Johnson rally in Austin and there was a professional photographer taking pictures. I’m not sure if he worked for Gary Johnson or you guys or for the local libertarian party group but I was hoping you may know where I could find these pictures? He took a picture of my friend and I that I was hoping to find. I had a “feel the johnson” shirt with a porcupine on it and blue shorts and he had a “come and take it” shirt as well as american flag shorts.

You want another issue (in Texas) to garner votes?

People are being forced out of their houses (in San Antonio) because of rising property taxes. At age 65, we can ‘freeze’ the “tax” part — but the school assessments keep skyrocketing. I’m a big proponent of education, but I have no kids, and ain’t there a time when enough is enough — paying for someone else’s brats? How about a state amendment to freeze all rising property assessments for those >65 yrs?

Put that into your local campaigns & betcha it’ll get a big following!

As a fiscal conservative/social libertarian who has generally voted Republican, I’ve become frustrated and disillusioned with the two dominant parties and their presidential offerings this cycle in particular. Stop me if you’ve heard this before.

The bloated size and scope of the federal government and the corruption it breeds is the absolute gravest threat to the future of this nation. Neither the party I once ascribed to, nor their opposition are offering anything remotely approaching solutions to this. Its not a bug, its a feature and we’re all big government liberals now.

I want another choice. Further, I want to get involved and make an impact somehow, someway. Like so many, I get caught up in my own life, my own responsibilities and distractions but time has come to do something.

With the best possible chance for a Libertarian Party success in some

50 years, why are we not seeing a big push now—the window of

opportunity is diminishing rapidly! All I see now is this “Well, golly, gee”

    layback attitude!

Are we going to get off our collective butts and DO SOMETHING??
