Statement from the LPTexas Officers

The recent events involving the Libertarian Party of New Hampshire (LPNH) and the Libertarian National Committee (LNC) have led to a variety of concerns among our members, donors, staff, and leadership teams.

As you may know, the Chairman of the LNC resigned amid the controversy over affiliation and leadership at LPNH. At this time, the LNC is in the process of filling the vacancy, and plans to have the Chair's position filled no later than July 12th, 2021. In the meantime, a 3-person committee has been appointed to investigate, to the extent it can, the events surrounding the LPNH matter. That investigative committee includes our very own Pat Dixon.

LPTexas officers and staff are united in our commitment to ensure the security of our donor/member data, maintain the integrity of our organization, and continue the work of the fastest growing political party in Texas each and every day.

We remain focused on impactful and appropriate messaging, while looking forward to recruitment of qualified and respectable Libertarian candidates. We continue our efforts to onboard new volunteer staff and county chairs, while engaging with aligned organizations. Our attention is still on legislative matters, as we move into special sessions, and we steadfastly participate in existing legal cases to protect our ballot access.

LPTexas will not waver in our determination to rise above the disorder, drown out the noise, and shine as a beacon of liberty for all.
