    Hello Libertarian Party of Texas,

I watched the Senate debate last night and was disappointed in both candidates. I really feel like this is why people get so over the 2 party system. Neither of the candidates answered direct questions. Lots of deflections and political jargon. The more I hear both Republicans and Democrats talk, the more I want to run for office. I am not 100% on board with the Libertarian platform like I am not 100% on board with the Republican or Democratic platforms. I feel like the Libertarian party needs to become a centrist party. Compromise is not a dirty word. Peddling fear from the far right and the far left is just not healthy for us as a democracy. I want to be a voice for all. I want to speak up for what is right and what is wrong. Please reach out to me if you need a spokesperson or help with future campaigns. I am open to different political ambitions, although I tell myself no every time I see a politician speak. It is way too negative right now and we need a better path forward. Happy hump day!

    Hi team at Lptexas

    How are you?

Do you offer article placements on your site: Lptexas.org

    - We would get the article written which will fit the nature/topic of your site.

    - In the article there is a good chance there will be a link going to a gaming/betting review site, which will be very well integrated.

    - Payment is made via Paypal.

What are your rates for such a placement?

    Thank you

    Claire – Media Manager

I recently moved to Lampasas County and I didn’t see any local contact information on this site. I would like to get involved.

I would like to add this as a follow up. They are in fact highly responsive. I received a response very quickly, only they don’t post responses below but rather directly to the person making the comment. Please understand when reading people’s comments that they were in fact responded to and not ignored.

You state that you are highly responsive to comments on this site, however, there are so many people with comments that have not received a response. I have been a libertarian all of my life but have chosen to call myself an independent due to the lack of proper representation of the libertarian party. How can you expect people to take this party seriously when you can’t even take the running of this website seriously? I will be suprised but delighted if you are highly responsive to this comment.

I find I agree with the positions of the Libertarian Party on many issues, and considered ticking a few Libertarian boxes this year. There’s not a lot of information on candidates out there, so I was naturally drawn to this website.

First impressions are important, and leave an indelible mark. I can’t get past the rogues gallery of mostly terrible photographs of Libertarian candidates. The individuals couldn’t be bothered to post a good headshot, maybe looking a little professional, to aid in my decision-making? And if the individuals wouldn’t do it, then the Party should make it happen.

What I see here is reminiscent of the ballot from a high school student council election, and falls far below what I’d expect to see for a federal and state election.

    Sorry- you lost this vote.

    Good afternoon,

I am with The University Star Student Media Group on the Texas State University campus, and I am looking to see if any candidates listed on your site are interested in collegiate advertising? We have our annual Voter’s Guide on October 16th and would love to give our students the opportunities to learn about who they can vote for and their political stances. Please feel free to reach me by phone or email and thank you for your time!

Just double checking that there ISN’T going to be a State convention in 2019. Is that correct?

I am on the website, vote smart and the Libertarian Party candidates don’t even have a picture up beside their name, why not. How can anyone take the party seriously if we don’t fully participate?

There’s nothing on the hyperlinks either! No bio, positions or speeches..

This site was recently mentioned in a news article and has a solid following nationally.

Hi, I have been involved in a debate with an individual on quora.com named Kristan Overstreet who claims to be a former Texas LP member and official. Can you update me as to his actual situation. He is clearly very anti Libertarian.

We would like to include Robert Walden, candidate for Texas House District 54, in the Voters Guide for the November 6, 2018 election. The League needs a preferred email address for Mr. Walden to receive correspondence regarding questions and responses published in the Voters Guide. Please reply to dvoss@lwvaustin.org.

I came to this site to see who the candidate for US Senate is. Either there isn’t one or the site is so messed up s/he doesn’t show. I’m not voting for Ted, so if there isn’t a Libertarian candidate, I guess Beto it is.

After lengthy conversations with Christina Worrell Adkins

Legal Director — Elections Division; at Office of the Texas Secretary of State elections@sos.texas.gov . It is clear the Libertarian party is a victim of purposeful electioneering in the three letter abbreviation forced on us by the Texas Secretary of State. The Chairman of the Libertarian party must formally request that the abbreviation be changed on all ballots from LIB which has come to own a negative connotation in Texas, to the proposed new LTN in accordance with the Election Code rules and regulations. We are fighting a purposefully stacked and rigged election to ensure that only the two main political parties remain as politically viable options. When most Texans who take the World’s Smallest Political Quiz clearly come out as Libertarian. We the State Wide candidates are requesting that Chairman and ViceChairman submit this formal request to change the three letter abbreviation from LIB to LTN on all Texas Ballots and eliminate the unfair Electioneering that has been purposefully committed to hinder the party.

My name is Jean Robert Kutzer Jr of Castroville, Texas, Medina County. I recently created a page on Facebook: Libertarian Party of Medina County. So I guess I need paperwork and such and pay a state member fee in order to be official. With Tony Valdivia running for State Senate I needed to act. We tried here in Medina Co. Awhile back but illness on my part and the death of Kathryn Graham took it out of me. So let’s do this. Besides Wally Hickle didn’t ask the EPA before building the Hiway to Prudhoe Bay, Alaska for the pipeline. He did notify them after the fact however.

I am new to the area and living in western Travis County. In reviewing the November slate I did not see a candidate running for State House District 47. Can you tell me if there’s a candidate on the ballot this November and if not, is it too late for someone to be placed on the ballot?
